Good morning friends!
I started today off with a delicious banana and strawberry smoothie and Teddie PB-topped english muffins. Even with the dreary, rainy weather outside I wanted a smoothie today. Don’t ask me why. Our appetites are very strange sometimes.
Last night, Bernie and I headed to Fenway Park to catch the Red Sox game. One of the great perks about living in Boston is our close proximity and easy access to the professional sports teams here in the city. We think very highly of our Boston sports teams and like to think of Boston as a sport dynasty town. Between the two recent Red Sox World Series wins, the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup last year, the Celtics winning the championship a few years ago, and the Patriot’s Super Bowl wins, we feel pretty proud. Boston also has the best college hockey division in the country. Boston College just won the National Championship again this year (sorry Northeastern, we’ll get there someday!).
After I came home from work, I changed into my gear and headed to Fenway to meet up with Bernie. It was COLD last night! Holy SHIT! I was wearing an Under Armour long sleeve under my Dustin Pedroia shirt, under a hoodie, and I was freezing. It’s just wrong that we could see our breath on May 2nd.
Beer, italian sausage, and fried dough were consumed. We lost, but had fun anyway – just wish it was a little bit warmer!

Looks like a great date night but brrrrr! Sitting at Sox games in the cold is tough!! I always think I bring enough layers yet I’m always still cold… Personally, my fav date nights are the simple ones at home. Cooking dinner, watching a movie, making popcorn, and drinking homebrew is a fav of mine
Agree – love date nights inside
Nothing like a freezing cold baseball game! It looks like you had a great time though
My first date with Ian was to an outdoor concert at a small zoo in Chicago. It was a beautiful night and we had a lot of fun. The lions kept roaring whenever the music played and we had fun joking about that. That was definitely a memorable night!
That sounds like a really memorable first date! So cute!
Sarah……..Hmmmmm…..Patriots “Super Bowl wins”………what about their last two ? Seems a favorite team of mine came out on top….Gooooooooooooo GIANTS, Uncle Bob
Baseball games are so fun! I need to get to a Phillies game STAT! My now-husband & I went out for ice cream on our first “date” (at age 20!)
